A reminder for families of BCMS students: Students who are in grade 8 or younger are not allowed at high school football games without the supervision of a parent or guardian, or adult sibling. Do not drop off your middle school student at the high school games unaccompanied. These students must enter with an adult and be supervised during these events. If a student who is not at least of high school age is found to be unaccompanied at one of these games, parents will be called to pick up their child during the game.
All students who attend home football games should sit in the stands, regardless of their age/grade, unless accessing restrooms or concessions. Additionally, students should not bring footballs or other sports balls into the high school’s Stadium Field during the games. At some of our recent games, unaccompanied middle school students have been engaged in unsafe play that has required the attention of too many of our staff supervisors. It is already challenging to find staff to supervise these games without having to divert their attention to unaccompanied students.
The district is committed to the safety of all spectators and student-athletes. We appreciate your attention to this important matter.
